Heretofore wisdom improved with age. In these days of intellectual madness wisdom seems to decrease each second. With the firing of Tucker Carlson, it puts the management of Fox News in the metaphorical position of the captain of Titanic. The iceberg represents it audience. Fox News has its position reversed. Just as the captain of the Titanic did not heed the warnings about icebergs, Fox has disregarded its audience. There must be an even larger iceberg that is floating near but out of sight. Or Fox management has succumbed to their own madness.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability.
