When a politician says, “you didn’t build that” and you agree, you are acknowledging you are not capable of achieving something on your own.
For example, why bother to recognize the achievements of a performing artist? For sure others are responsible for their abilities.
If the government is claiming it contributes to a creators’ achievements, then those same members of government are just as responsible or even more so for the failures of the creators and their fruitless efforts.
If you do not like insurance companies because they do not care like you care, wait until you experience, even more, how uncaring the government is.
If you think the government will care more about you and your family’s wellbeing than you care, then you will learn you are completely wrong. Government has no responsibility to you. At least insurance companies could be sued. Imagine suing the government because they made a decision you do not like.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
