The so-called trials of the so-called January 6th insurrectionist is the latest sequel of historical similarly inspired catastrophes. A well-known (infamous) trial to begin this short history list with was for a person named Jesus. The second trial(s) was more ubiquitous was called the spanish inquisition. Move forward to the Salem witch trials to experience a new attempt to normalize paranoid insanity. Now in 2023 add these latest show sham trials. Lord, what a difference a couple of millennia doesn’t make. Something is stirring in my mind the idea that history does indeed repeat itself.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
