Maybe this is ironic, but certainly it is revelatory, that people rewrite the written works of others because they have nothing to say that is imaginative nor that matters. Usually, the rewritten works are dismal masks of the original characters and/or the message. The rewrites usually contribute little to nothing to social discourse. And that is the good part of this opinion.
