Conservatives want to help others so those others can make their own lives better. Progressives want to make those others help them so that the progressives’ lives will be better. This can be a type of slavery.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
