The reason that republicans are acquiescent and reticent about their positions is more fundamental than fear. By definition conservatives believe government is not and cannot be the solution, therefore why be a part of something that bothers you? Democrats believe government is the solution. Many republicans are democrats who convince themselves that they are advocates for republican ideology to cover their overwhelming enjoyment of being part of the “government” profession. Democrats make decisions to help themselves and what happens to constituents is collateral benefit or damage. Conservative politicians make decisions to help their constituents.

Government appears to make the decisions about taxation as if they cannot live without them taxes. It seems logical that it should occur to themselves that the same circumstances will develop between themselves and the whole remaining society who become unable to live without those taxes. Ultimately the lives to be taxed will trade positions.

Can't imagine that the "physical" verbal action of accusing another of racism with the accused being guilty of a mental "nonphysical" act assumed and founded on an assumption that the accused thinks about racism is not likely an accusation made that is not a learned practice of racism, likely through racist. A mirror's image of our/their selves. A side's perception varies on their opinion.
