Logically one reason why gun control advocates would demonstrate no desire to take guns from criminals who use them for violent purposes is that the advocates might think that people who have guns for defense are more dangerous to the advocates personally with the possible use of guns in self-defense. The inability to think rationally prevents the control advocates from realizing that the guns they fear used in self-defense almost always will be a reaction to a criminal using their gun in offense. Strikingly similar logic used to call police with guns when a criminal does criminal things.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
