Law is oppressive when it forces people to do something for themselves that they don't want to do for themselves.
Law is oppressive when it forces people not to do something for themselves that they want to do for themselves.
Law is restrictive, if it forces people not to do something for/to others that the others want done for/to them self.
Law is restrictive, when it forces people to do something for/to others that the others do not want done to them self.
