Most skilled executives / managers learn that the best way to manage time and improve things is not to take responsibility for things that they do not have to be responsible. Politicians are bad executives / managers because they deal irresponsibly with things for which they take responsibility that they did not have to be responsible for. And in which many situations did not have to involve themselves.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
