One of the conservative characteristics that republicans wish they could rid themselves of is their propensity to dislike lying. For example: Speaker Boehner has difficulty expressing the conservative ideology because he is neither conservative nor republican. He is progressive. Regardless of the issue he addresses he thinks the government can improve the situation. Unfortunately, that is a direct contradiction to conservatism. The people who work as government have no idea how to improve others’ lives otherwise, they would have sold their ideas in the open market.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability.
