Instead of teaching the girl to waste time looking for a purse where it isn’t located, why not teach the young girl a financial lesson that everything has value and ask her to do something for her mother in return for the dollar the young girl has requested? Too moralistic for some in public service to consider?

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
