For a different perspective to explain liberal, progressive behavior, imagine a child who is unhappy that the game is not going their way. Options, change the rules to make the game go the way they desire or take their stuff and go home. Not an option is to learn, understand, then adapt to the rules. Some of them have been there and tried that and some are too unsure of themselves to bother to try to achieve rules that are not created by themselves.

What I am quite but not completely sure of is that I would support not preventing anyone from not doing what they do not want to do. However, in some situations I would not recommend such behavior.
