The question to pose to politicians is: how many people who need help have you hurt by attempting to help people who don’t want help? Ironically the actual results of the political actions are the exact opposite of the desired results. The ½ reality is the part of a decision that hurts real people in real time. An example is taxes. The ½ fantasy is the part of the decision that can’t and doesn’t help people who don’t want the help. An example is poor people are poor because they are poor. That rationale should be turned on the politician immediately and determine if that logic applies to them. The help that politicians pretend to extend to people is usually an assuagement of the politician’s personal issues. Meanwhile the peoples’ lives he has destroyed are facing foreclosure or a mental breakdown etc. because of the decision.
Unfortunately, in this formula, ½ + ½ = 1 total failure. The reality becomes a fantasy and the fantasy stays a fantasy.
That is an achievement.

An *abstract metaphor that describes while at the same time is defining the meaning of censorship. Cleaning up the mess created by throwing a Karo saturated pancake at a wall at a sponsored community breakfast consisting of free pancakes.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
