The theme of liberals is why everything in your life is bad or miserable is the result of the behavior of others, i.e., conservatives.
A key to the demise of liberalism is when conservatives realize they can and should care more or as much about themselves as they do about others.
Liberals care only about themselves and delude themselves into thinking they care about others.
A liberal tenet is that the actions of others inhibit the conditions of their lives. So how do they want to solve their problem, control the action of the others, i.e., conservatives.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability.
