It is perplexing that some people listen to requests from those who are attracted to issues that offend themselves. I stop listening to comments when I fully hear and understand (realize) that I disagree with the comment. I avoid continuing to listen to comments I understand will be not credible to me. That behavior minimizes inflicting anxiety upon myself.
In a metaphorical sense, I do not continue to listen to a language I cannot understand. Particularly if there is no method to translate what is being spoken.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
