My recommendation to someone discussing an issue about why people working for government should not be asked to solve a problem is because the person asking for government assistance knows the issue cannot be solved by anyone. If it could, they would have solved it. If they say they can’t, it is because it can’t be solved. If they say others can’t solve it, that answer is because those others know it can’t be solved.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
