There is an ancient saying, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it. The word ancient is used because, in the current era anything that happened before the many people included in the current generation of misguided individuals existed, it either never happened, is too old to have meaning for them or is beneath them. Their behavior prompts the revision of the saying to be, if you have nothing that fits reality, don’t say it. Also consider, if you cannot determine if it fits reality, be cautious and don’t say it.
