A problem with people working as government that is mostly absent from private industry is that those people fool themselves in believing there are no consequences to their promises and actions or lack thereof.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
