I have made an important decision. When being addressed I shall ask people to use the personal pronouns either ho/hum or bah/humbug. I prefer ho/hum. However, because I am sensitive to the feelings of others who may not be as lackadaisical about the matter, either option is acceptable. Of course, ho is not a colloquial expression of whore.
