If I understand the circumstances, perhaps I’ll understand the logic. Democrats lost a lot of seats in government in the 2014 elections because citizens were upset with government expanding interference in the lives of citizens and involving government in things they cannot control. So republicans will continue to do the same things with the same results and expect a different outcome? This is an analogy to the definition of insane.
