One aspect of liberals, progressives human nature is to fail or refuse to grasp is that it is easier to keep hating than it is to learn to love.
Or, from a political perspective, subconsciously liberals, progressives behave like problems can’t be solved. Not because there is no solution, rather the solution, i.e., accepting, agreeing or even loving, is the antithesis of their psyche.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
