Advocates of controlling the guns of people who possess guns for defense purposes is more an indication that the advocates are afraid that people will defend themselves. Defend themselves against what? Probably against the advocates of gun control particularly if they ever need to force people to relinquish their defenses.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
