The current national security policies are not endeavors to keep Americans safe, they are an attempt to hide the incompetence of all the security agencies.
Implicit in the national security policy is the presumption that all Americans are terrorist suspects. All Americans have to be suspected terrorists. If they are not, why are they wasting their time and our money screening and monitoring everyone? The (im)moral(ity) of the story: profile the many so the few are not profiled.
