There is a complementary motto which enhances the meaning and broad applicability of the statement from people who proclaim; “you didn’t build that”. “You didn’t destroy that” is the logical inverse accompanying motto. If credit and praise is demanded, all credit and praise should be given.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
